What the estimate covers

Labor for the throttle body only; the part and gasket are extra. Many engines need an idle or throttle relearn with a scan tool afterward. Loss of power with a wrench or reduced-power warning can also come from pedal sensors, wiring or the engine computer, so diagnosis comes first. Some manufacturers have offered extended coverage on throttle bodies; ask a dealer with your VIN.

Labor hours used: 0.5–1.5 h, our own editorial estimate (not taken from a licensed labor guide).
